Over 20 years’ experience in the meetings and hospitality industry. In that time, Ann has refined her skills in conference management, special event planning and exhibit management. In her most recent role, Ann held the position as senior project manager of several large scale domestic events and International movements of small groups. Her areas of expertise include: concept development, financial management, event production, registration management, logistical coordination and support; event marketing and promotion, media conference coordination, and onsite management.

Ann's practical experience is combined with education and a solid understanding of project management, event marketing and financial management which was obtained with an Honours Degree in Business Administration and Marketing; Diploma in Accounting and an Events Management Certificate and Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) designation. Ann is bilingual and holds a Certificate in Meeting Management (CMM) designation since 2012.

Ann is an active member of the following associations:

  • Meeting Professionals International (MPI)
  • Canadian Society of Association Executive (CSAE), Program and Continuing Education Committee (2012/2014)
  • Professional Convention Management Association – Canada East Chapter (PCMA)
  • Canadian Society of Professional Event Planners (CanSPEP) since 2013, Conference Committee (2014/2015)

Over the course of the past 20 years, Patricia has provided logistics management services for events and conferences for projects and clients such as the Canadian Aids Society, Department of National Defence, Department of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development and numerous other government, association and non-profit organizations. She has held roles as Senior Event Manager with Brent Moore and Associates for 8 years and as Director of Convention and Catering Services at the Chateau Cartier Resort for 12 years.

As Managing Partner with CanPlan, she brings a wealth of experience as both a planner and facilities manager providing a real understanding of the needs and constraints of both the client and supplier. She brings an additional 10 years of management experience in the hospitality industry. Patricia is fluently bilingual and holds a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation since 2007.

Patricia is an active member of the following associations:

  • Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 1998, Board Member–VP Finance (2008-2012) / Chair of the MPI Annual Golf Tournament (2003–2010)

Patricia also holds many volunteer positions in the Ottawa Region.
